All About Me
I like candlelit dinners and long walks on the beach...
But seriously, I was born in Red Deer, AB and lived there all my life until I came to UofL. I started playing soccer at the age of four, and played all seasons, indoor and outdoor. I continued this until Grade 12 when I stopped playing competitively and focused on my studies and work. I graduated in Red Deer from Hunting Hills High School in 2011 and went right to Red Deer College for my first year of Pre-Ed. I transferred to Lethbridge for the Fall 2012 semester and am now just starting my first professional semester in education at the University of Lethbridge! My parents live back home in Red Deer with my younger sister who is in Grade 8, and the enormous blob of glutton that is our cat, Gilbert. I visit them every second weekend when I can; the cat gets lonely and misses me (It's nice to see my family too). I am currently a mathematics major with a minor in CTS: Community Health, but I have a huge interest in psychology and neuroscience and also wish to cultivate my knowledge in these areas as well. I would love to teach for several years, but my ultimate goal is to be a school guidance counselor and work one-on-one with students to give them the compassion and direction they need. I like to think of myself as far into the extroverted side of the personality scale, and I would love to start up conversations with my colleagues or anyone interested based on the content posted here!
